InLife will be the on-site provider for residents at 10 new apartments in Melbourne’s south-east.
We’re excited to introduce two new assistant coordinators and a new coordinator to our service delivery team.
New coordinator Destiny Ukwu has joined our Melbourne team, along with assistant coordinator Kasey Roberts.
And Karen Clarke has joined our regional team in Bendigo as an assistant coordinator.
Destiny Ukwu, coordinator (Melbourne)
After studying nursing in Nigeria, Destiny came to Australia almost 11 years ago and gained experience working across the community health sector.
Destiny was drawn to disability services because she is passionate about human rights and ensuring everyone is treated equally. She has worked as a support worker, house coordinator and as an NDIS participant response coordinator in government and disability organisations.
When Destiny’s not at work, you’ll find her belting out 80s hits (despite the protests of her kids!) and cooking up a storm. Destiny loves experimenting with recipes and her speciality is jollof rice and plantains.
Kasey Roberts, assistant coordinator (Melbourne)
Kasey is a people-person who loves making connections and seeing clients reach their goals. She enjoys making a difference, no matter how big or small.
After working as a support worker for three years in Queensland and Victoria, Kasey has stepped up to the role of assistant coordinator at InLife and is keen to grow her career in the sector.
She’s also a self-confessed gym junkie who works out six days a week and is preparing for her first body building competition. Kasey’s getting ready to don a sparkly costume and conquer her nerves by hitting the stage!
Karen Clarke, assistant coordinator (regional)
A hairdresser for more than 40 years, Karen discovered disability support work through her daughter who was working in the sector.
With great people and listening skills from her time cutting hair, disability support work was a natural fit. Karen says it’s a gift to be able to support someone to live their best life.
Based in regional Victoria, Karen has two Labradors called Ruby and Lacy and is a massive Robbie Williams fan. She has seen him perform live eight times and has tickets to three of his upcoming shows on his next Australian tour.
