Caity suffered a stroke when she was just 19. Today she is a support worker assisting other people to live their best lives.
A job at Westfield is proving the perfect fit for InLife client Eliza.
Eliza had years of volunteering experience but struggled to get her foot in the door when it came to a job.
That was until she signed up with a job agency last year and managed to get a position at the concierge at Westfield Shopping Centre in Geelong.
“It’s my first paid job,” Eliza said.
“Westfield has been really approachable and supportive, and my boss and work colleague have been really good as well.”
“I would like to tell anyone in the community with complex needs that it is possible.”
Eliza is currently working once a fortnight at Westfield and her job involves helping shoppers, among other tasks.
“It makes me really happy to show people that they can do what they choose in life,” she said.
InLife key worker Rach Hill worked with Eliza and job agency APM to search for a customer service role that was the perfect fit.
